지휘자 손다니엘입니다. 제주에서 나고 자라 지금은 주로 서울에서 활동하고 있습니다.
"예술은 결코 목적이 아니라 삶의 선들을 그리기 위한 도구일 뿐"이라는 들뢰즈의 말처럼, 음악이라는 경계 안에만 머물지 않으려 노력합니다. 지휘와 함께 사진 작업을 병행하며, 이야기를 이미지로 옮길 수 있는 어떤 구도와 색을 찾는 일에 열중하고 있습니다.
철학과 미학의 관점에서 음악을 연구하는 데 깊은 관심을 갖고 있으며, 현재 바그너의 《트리스탄과 이졸데》와 들뢰즈의 '생성' 개념을 주제로 석사논문을 작성하고 있습니다. 9월부터 그간 공부한 내용들을 종합해 강의 플랫폼 Inhalt에서 <서양음악사>를 강의하고 있습니다.
I am Son Daniel, a conductor. Born and raised in Jeju, I now work primarily in Seoul.
Like Deleuze's words that "art is never an end in itself but merely a tool for drawing the lines of life," I strive not to remain confined within the boundaries of music. Alongside conducting, I pursue photography, immersed in finding compositions and colors that can translate stories into images.
I hold a deep interest in studying music from philosophical and aesthetic perspectives, and am currently writing my master's thesis on Wagner's Tristan und Isolde and Deleuze's concept of 'becoming.' Since September, I have been teaching History of Western Music on the lecture platform Inhalt, synthesizing the knowledge I have accumulated through my studies.
